Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Fabricate assemblies and parts for products according to engineering documents and production standards
• Set up and lay out work using fixtures and guides to ensure accurate fabrication
• Review finished parts and assemblies against drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accuracy
• Perform basic and advanced operator preventative maintenance tasks on machinery
• Operate various tools and equipment including grinders, drills, presses, punches, saws, and bending machines
• Report fabrication issues, reject defective materials, and assist in troubleshooting complex problems
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment following 6S principles

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years of production fabrication or comparable experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions and decimals
• Basic math, reading, writing, and PC skills
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of specific fabrication or machining experience
