Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate heavy machinery to perform cutting, punching, forming, and processing operations
• Operate computerized equipment and material handling equipment
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical data to select correct materials
• Mark part numbers, order numbers, and piece counts on parts
• Attach identification tags for customer tracking
• Follow all safety rules and precautions in a manufacturing environment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Knowledge of a manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continually above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to stand, bend, and remain mobile for prolonged periods
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and moving parts
