Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment on one or more extrusion lines
• Ensure extruder outputs are consistent with product specifications
• Perform quality assurance inspections and testing on finished products
• Conduct preventive maintenance on production floor equipment
• Troubleshoot extruders and perform basic mechanical repairs
• Train and mentor junior extrusion associates
• Monitor production quality and packing techniques
• Maintain workstation supplies and communicate material needs

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED
• Three years of directly related extrusion experience
• Working knowledge of machine mechanics and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to use calipers and micrometers
• Ability to lift up to 86lbs continually and team lift up to 100lbs
• Proficiency with computers and common software like Word and Excel
• Strong math aptitude and attention to detail
