Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate heavy machinery to perform cutting, punching, forming, and processing operations
• Follow safety rules and quality standards in a manufacturing environment
• Use computerized equipment, machine controls, and quality measurement devices like calipers and micrometers
• Operate material handling equipment including overhead cranes and forklifts
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment
• Interpret blueprints and technical data to select correct raw materials
• Mark part numbers and attach identification tags to finished products

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
• Ability to stand, bend, and move for prolonged periods
• Ability to become certified for forklift and overhead crane operation
