Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion lines to produce vinyl siding products and accessories
• Maintain extruder and peripheral line equipment settings to meet product specifications
• Perform quality assurance tests on finished products to ensure performance standards
• Troubleshoot operational problems and assist with machine output changeovers
• Conduct line and panel checks for thickness, width, length, and other dimensions
• Monitor and support junior associates to ensure product quality and proper packing
• Complete accurate extrusion and quality assurance paperwork
• Maintain a clean and safe work area following all health and safety practices

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED
• Minimum six months of related production experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills
• Ability to read, write, and operate a computer
• Ability to use calipers and micrometers accurately
• Physical ability to lift up to 86lbs continually and team lift up to 100lbs
• Manual dexterity and ability to stand, bend, and twist for extended periods
