Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion lines to produce vinyl siding products and accessories
• Verify operational status of all equipment using start-up checklists
• Maintain extruder and peripheral line equipment settings to meet product specifications
• Perform quality assurance tests on finished products to ensure performance standards
• Assist with machine troubleshooting and output changeovers
• Conduct line and panel checks for thickness, width, length, and other dimensions
• Maintain cleanliness of the extrusion line and surrounding work area
• Complete extrusion and quality assurance paperwork accurately
• Observe all health and safety practices and wear required personal protective equipment

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED
• Six months of related or production experience
• Working knowledge of machine mechanics and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read, write, and perform math calculations
• Ability to use calipers and micrometers
• Ability to lift up to 86 pounds and assist with loads up to 100 pounds
• Manual dexterity and ability to work in extreme weather conditions
