Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery to manufacture wire and underlay products
• Assist with machine set-ups and changeovers
• Perform pre-start checks and routine maintenance
• Organise and thread new wire coils through machinery
• Maintain neat presentation of finished products
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor breakdowns
• Complete job sheets and administrative tasks
• Support the distribution team as required
• Adhere to safety and quality standards
• Report safety incidents and maintain a clean workplace

Requirements

• 1-year previous machine operation experience in manufacturing (preferred)
• Basic maths and English skills
• Mechanically minded with understanding of production machinery
• Strong commitment to health and safety practices
• Excellent attention to detail
• Physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting (20+kgs)
• Ability to work flexible hours
• NZ work rights

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift license and experience
• Experience with wire and underlay products
