Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections including oil levels, hydraulic oil, coolant, tire pressure, and blade sharpness
• Operate lawn mowers (walk-behind, riding, triplex) and heavy equipment such as tractors and aerators
• Apply instructed cutting patterns to minimize soil compaction and turfgrass stress
• Support specialized maintenance like aerification, verticutting, and tournament preparation
• Clean machinery thoroughly after use to prevent weed and disease spread
• Lubricate machine components and refill fuel at the end of shifts
• Report any damage or performance issues to supervisors or mechanics for preventive maintenance

Requirements

• Minimum SMA/SMK education (Automotive, Mechanical, or Agriculture preferred)
• 1-2 years experience operating heavy equipment or golf course maintenance machinery
• Valid driver's license (SIM)
• Knowledge of turfgrass machine certification is a plus
