About the role

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate various machine tools to manufacture precision aircraft components and aerostructures to exacting tolerances.
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine sequences of operations and setup methods.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and machinist's hand tools to verify dimensions and reference points.
  • Perform related manufacturing functions including deburring, milling, drilling, boring, honing, and grinding.
  • Monitor and verify product quality in accordance with statistical process control procedures.
  • Conduct routine minor machine maintenance, such as replacing filters and maintaining lubrication/coolant levels.
  • Move products within the manufacturing area using assigned shop equipment and complete necessary transactions.

Requirements

  • Completion of Workkeys Assessment OR a High School Diploma/GED.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering specifications.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
  • Willingness and ability to work any assigned shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, squatting, and kneeling.
