About the role
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate various machine tools to manufacture precision aircraft components and aerostructures to exacting tolerances.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine sequences of operations and setup methods.
- Use precision measuring instruments and machinist's hand tools to verify dimensions and reference points.
- Perform related manufacturing functions including deburring, milling, drilling, boring, honing, and grinding.
- Monitor and verify product quality in accordance with statistical process control procedures.
- Conduct routine minor machine maintenance, such as replacing filters and maintaining lubrication/coolant levels.
- Move products within the manufacturing area using assigned shop equipment and complete necessary transactions.
Requirements
- Completion of Workkeys Assessment OR a High School Diploma/GED.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering specifications.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
- Willingness and ability to work any assigned shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, squatting, and kneeling.
