About the role

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate various machine tools to manufacture precision aircraft components and aerostructures to exacting tolerances.
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine sequences of operations and setup methods.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and machinist's hand tools to verify dimensions and reference points.
  • Produce parts using conventional or CNC mediums while ensuring product quality through monitoring and verification.
  • Perform related functions such as deburring, milling, drilling, boring, honing, and grinding.
  • Conduct routine minor machine maintenance, including replacing filters and maintaining lubrication/coolant levels.
  • Move products within the manufacturing area using assigned shop equipment and complete necessary transactions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (or completion of Workkeys Assessment).
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering specifications.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to work any assigned shift.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, squat, and kneel for extended periods on the production floor.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30lbs regularly.
