Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate various machinery including spot welders, roll forming machines, hydraulic shears, and swedging machines
• Fabricate sheet metal products according to specific instructions and work orders
• Assemble and insulate products for delivery, ensuring proper sealing with sealant
• Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, and racks by hand
• Transport materials between workstations and the shipping area
• Count, weigh, and record production units on daily sheets
• Identify and work with different types of metals
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace while following all safety rules and procedures

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and move up to 100-200 pounds with assistance
• Proficiency using hand tools and a tape measure
• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals)
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
• Strong attendance and reliability for regular shifts and overtime

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Previous experience working in a factory or manufacturing environment
• Experience with MIG tack welding
• Basic computer skills
