Machine Operator 1

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety as a core principle
• Interpret work orders and blueprints to determine machining requirements
• Set-up and operate multi-axis CNC machining centers
• Ensure proper machine adjustments
• Machine quality parts for window & door manufacture
• Perform quality workmanship with dimensional accuracy
• Inspect completed parts according to specifications
• Document and report productivity and non-conforming records
• Perform secondary machining operations as needed
• Perform daily maintenance activities to machines as prescribed
• Maintain a clean and orderly machine and workstation
• Participate in and contribute to a continuous improvement culture

Requirements

• Introductory skill level in CNC machining
• Ability to utilize various machine-shop measuring instruments
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/32” accuracy
• Mechanical aptitude and drive for Optimal Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
• Detail-oriented approach
• Computer familiarity
• Strong work structure organization skills
