Machine Operator 1

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety as a core principle
• Interpret work orders and blueprints to determine machining requirements
• Set-up and operate multi-axis CNC machining centers
• Ensure proper machine adjustments
• Machine quality parts for window and door manufacture
• Perform quality workmanship with dimensional accuracy
• Inspect completed parts according to specifications
• Document and report productivity and non-conforming records
• Perform secondary machining operations and daily maintenance activities
• Maintain clean and orderly machines and workstations
• Participate in a continuous improvement culture

Requirements

• Introductory skill level in CNC machining
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/32” accuracy
• Ability to utilize machine-shop measuring instruments
• Computer familiarity
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
