Machine Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of maintenance technicians and engineers for 24/7 reliability of solar cell production equipment
• Develop and execute comprehensive maintenance strategies including preventative, predictive, and corrective programs
• Oversee troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for vacuum deposition, chemical processing, and automation equipment
• Partner with Production and Facility Operations to integrate maintenance windows with factory schedules
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and strategic vendor relationships
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, cleanroom standards, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or STEM discipline, or 5+ years of experience leading industrial maintenance teams
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership position
• Ability to travel internationally (20%)
• Ability to work all shifts, extended hours, and weekends as needed
• Ability to stand for up to 6 hours and lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee to comply with ITAR regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with semiconductor, solar, or advanced automation equipment maintenance
• Hands-on experience with thin-film deposition tools such as PECVD or sputtering systems
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
• Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and data analytics
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Total Productive Maintenance
• Understanding of cleanroom protocols and safe handling of pyrophoric and toxic gas systems
