Machine Learning Scientist

Responsibilities

• Design, train, evaluate, optimize, and deploy production machine learning models
• Build recommendation, ranking, and personalization systems that adapt to creator behavior
• Apply reinforcement learning, contextual bandits, and online learning approaches
• Develop reward models and objective functions to translate signals into training targets
• Work with logged interaction data to understand user behavior and reduce bias
• Apply offline policy evaluation, counterfactual evaluation, and causal inference
• Design experiments to measure product impact and improve production systems
• Build scalable model training, evaluation, deployment, and inference pipelines
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate customer problems into ML solutions

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, or a quantitative field
• 5+ years of experience building and deploying ML models in production
• Strong experience with modern deep learning frameworks and production ML workflows
• Expertise in recommendation, ranking, or reinforcement learning systems
• Strong understanding of exploration vs. exploitation, reward design, and policy evaluation
• Experience with A/B testing, counterfactual reasoning, or causal inference
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale recommendation or adaptive optimization systems
• Familiarity with ad recommendation or campaign optimization systems
• Experience serving large-scale ML models in production
• Experience building ML systems for large-scale digital or creator platforms
