Machine Learning Scientist

Responsibilities

• Fine-tune large-scale multimodal transformer models for clinical and biomedical applications
• Identify, characterize, and utilize datasets for PK, PD, toxicity, and clinical trial outcomes
• Develop rigorous experimental approaches to prevent data leakage
• Design and maintain benchmarking and evaluation frameworks
• Build models with appropriate calibration and uncertainty quantification
• Collaborate with ML, software engineering, and clinical scientists to deploy models
• Generate high-quality research and engineering code including testing and documentation

Requirements

• MS in chemistry, bio/chemical engineering, or computational STEM field with 3+ years of experience, or PhD
• Strong Python experience including deep learning model implementation
• Demonstrated experience in clinical science or working with clinical datasets
• Proficiency in Data Science (EDA, modeling, tuning, visualization)
• Ability to own workstreams from data ingestion through evaluation
• Strong engineering habits including reproducible experimentation and clean code
• Experience with modern ML infrastructure (Docker, CUDA, Kubernetes, Weights & Biases)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building and deploying clinically relevant prediction models
• Familiarity with ClinicalTrials.gov/AACT data
• Experience with MedDRA, pharmacovigilance, or adverse event data
• Exposure to multi-task learning and agentic data extraction
• HPC or large-scale computing experience
