Machine Learning Lead

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain end-to-end ML pipelines, including data ingestion, preprocessing, model training, deployment, and monitoring
• Fine-tune LLMs and other models for ESAB-specific use cases
• Ensure infrastructure scalability and security in collaboration with IT and Digital Solutions
• Lead workshops with business stakeholders to identify high-value ML opportunities and translate them into structured problem statements
• Work with solution architects to embed ML models into business applications
• Act as an internal ambassador for machine learning, promoting best practices across the organization

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant work experience in machine learning or related fields
• M.Sc. in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks and cloud platforms
• Proven experience building APIs for ML model integration
• Experience developing and managing end-to-end ML pipelines
• Experience fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Strong ability to translate complex business needs into technical AI-driven solutions
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
