Responsibilities

• Ship and own assessment ML systems end-to-end, including scoring models and pipelines.
• Implement validation and evaluation frameworks, including metrics and test sets.
• Partner with the Assessment Design Lead to co-develop strategy and deliver incremental improvements.
• Support data and labeling strategies to define training and evaluation needs.

Requirements

• 4+ years building automatic proficiency assessment systems or equivalent depth in scoring/evaluation domains.
• Domain expertise in spoken language proficiency assessment (linguistics, pedagogy, or equivalent).
• Proven ability to ship ML models to production with reliability and monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field.
• Experience with speech or audio ML.
• Knowledge of psychometrics concepts like reliability, validity, and calibration.
