About the Company

PhysicsX is a deep-tech company with roots in numerical physics and Formula One, dedicated to accelerating hardware innovation at the speed of software. We are building an AI-driven simulation software stack for engineering and manufacturing across advanced industries.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with simulation engineers, data scientists, and customers to understand physics and engineering challenges
  • Design, build, and test reliable, scalable, and deployable machine learning data pipelines
  • Explore and manipulate 3D point cloud and mesh data
  • Own the delivery of technical workstreams
  • Create analytics environments and resources in the cloud or on-premise
  • Identify best libraries, frameworks, and tools for specific tasks
  • Translate R&D and project outputs into reusable libraries, tooling, and products
  • Apply and improve engineering best practices and coach colleagues

Requirements

  • Experience applying ML methods (including 3D graph/point cloud deep learning) to real-world engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in a data-driven role with exposure to software engineering (CI/CD, API design, MLOps)
  • Proficiency in Python and common ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, MLFlow)
  • Experience with distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Dask)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and HPC computing
  • Proficiency with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Background in Physics, Engineering, or equivalent
  • Ability to travel to customer sites (average 3-4 weeks per quarter)
