Machine Learning Engineer

About the Company

PhysicsX is a deep-tech company with roots in numerical physics and Formula One, dedicated to accelerating hardware innovation at the speed of software. We are building an AI-driven simulation software stack for engineering and manufacturing across advanced industries like Aerospace, Defense, Materials, Energy, Semiconductors, and Automotive.

Responsibilities

• Own the deployment of ML models and engineering surrogates to customer production environments
• Lead scoping and architecture design for data and ML systems
• Build robust and scalable ML systems, training and inference pipelines, and APIs for cloud and on-prem environments
• Communicate results and trade-offs to senior stakeholders to influence product direction
• Mentor and develop engineers and data scientists
• Travel to customer sites (North America, Europe, Asia, Oceania) for approximately 3-4 weeks per quarter
• Scope new projects and work-streams with existing and new customers

Requirements

• At least 3 years of industry experience (post Masters or PhD) in a commercial, non-research environment
• Proven experience shipping ML systems end-to-end and at scale
• Experience with 3D point-cloud and mesh data for geometry-aware modelling
• Proficiency with Python, PyTorch, Pandas, FastAPI, Scipy, and Kubeflow
• Ability to work directly with customers on-site to embed AI models into tools
