Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and optimization of machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex problems.
• Preprocess and analyze datasets to ensure high data quality for model training.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, data scientists, and product teams on model deployment and scalability.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative model validation to identify and mitigate model risk.
• Support the oversight of high-impact AI applications in areas such as fraud detection, credit underwriting, and marketing analytics.
• Perform AI risk governance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory expectations and Responsible AI standards.
• Conduct experiments and run machine learning tests to drive business insights.

Requirements

• 1+ years of relevant experience in machine learning or a related quantitative field.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering) or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or scikit-learn.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills to interact with various stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a quantitative field.
• Advanced knowledge of statistical models including logistic regression, time series analysis, random forests, SVMs, XGBoost, or CNNs/RNNs.
• Proficiency in big data coding and tools such as Python, Hadoop, Spark, or SQL.
• Relevant modeling experience in credit scoring, fraud detection, financial forecasting, or marketing analytics.
