Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of computer vision systems for biometrics including face attributes, detection, quality, and recognition
• Conduct rigorous fairness analysis and benchmarking of biometric models across various datasets
• Architect, train, and optimize models using PyTorch, Tensorflow, or JAX
• Own end-to-end ML pipelines and design automated data ingestion and cleaning pipelines using Airflow
• Optimize models for low-latency inference using quantization, distillation, TensorRT, or ONNX
• Manage deployment on AWS and mentor ML engineers through code and design reviews

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience in Machine Learning
• 3+ years of dedicated experience in Biometrics or Face Analysis
• Deep expertise in computer vision and face recognition
• Practical experience measuring and mitigating algorithmic bias in Computer Vision
• Expert proficiency in Python and vision libraries such as OpenCV and Pillow
• Experience designing end-to-end ML pipelines and using workflow orchestrators like Airflow
• Hands-on experience scaling training on multi-GPU clusters and deploying on AWS (SageMaker, EC2, EKS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Research publications in CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, or FG
• Experience with vector databases like Milvus or Faiss
• Familiarity with privacy, security, and compliance in biometric systems
• Experience porting models to edge or mobile devices using CoreML, LiteRT, or TFLite
• Experience using GANs or diffusion models for synthetic data generation
