About the role

Responsibilities

  • Research and introduce emergent AI and Machine Learning technologies to empower future product development.
  • Execute applied ML for Advanced Engineering and R&D settings through proof of concepts and pilots.
  • De-risk new technologies prior to business introduction using Technology Readiness Level processes and joint developments.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends in AI, ML, and Cloud technologies to evaluate their fit for the business.
  • Support external partnerships, including university engagements, to accelerate technology delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional subject matter experts in mechanical, electrical, and design engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Machine Learning, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of Machine Learning Engineering experience in Research and Development (R&D), Advanced Engineering, or a Lab environment.
  • Proven track record of developing and deploying impactful AI or ML solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience with fundamental ML techniques such as supervised, unsupervised, regression, or dimensionality reduction.
  • Knowledge of advanced methods including CNNs, transformers, NLP, or Computer Vision.
  • Ability to develop robust MLOps pipelines for efficient deployment, monitoring, and scaling.
  • Proficiency in Data Engineering, including Data Collection, ETL, and data architecture principles.
  • Experience developing in cloud, local, or edge environments.
