Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy scalable recommendation pipelines for a next-generation social media platform
• Own critical components of the recommendation stack, including recall, ranking, and CTR modeling
• Develop and optimize CTR/CVR prediction models and multi-objective ranking strategies
• Tackle cold-start challenges for new users and content to drive engagement and retention
• Run offline experiments and online A/B testing to drive measurable business gains
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and monetization teams to iterate on model performance and latency

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience building production-grade machine learning systems
• Strong hands-on expertise in large-scale recommendation systems
• Proven experience in recall systems, ranking models, or CTR prediction
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience with large-scale data systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-task or multi-objective optimization
• Experience with distributed training and large-scale data systems
• Demonstrated success in improving user retention or long-term user value
