Machine Learning Engineer, Apple Intelligence

Responsibilities

• Drive innovation in generative modeling by building and optimizing models for international languages
• Own the entire generative modeling pipeline, including data preprocessing, architecture design, training, evaluation, and deployment
• Develop advanced text generation technologies such as context-augmented text rewriting and safety-controlled text composition
• Ensure models are culturally and linguistically adaptable for diverse international markets

Requirements

• 4+ years of machine learning expertise
• Strong programming skills in Python, Objective C, or Swift
• Proficiency with deep learning libraries such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Thorough experience with NLP algorithms, including tokenization, language modeling, text decoding, and text classifiers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing machine learning techniques like optimizers, regularization, and custom loss functions
• Ability to address performance bottlenecks in distributed training and inference
• Experience with multi-modal modeling and model compression methods
• Experience in NLP modeling specifically for Indian languages
• Proficiency in writing high-quality code across large, complex repositories using object-oriented design patterns
