Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other MLEs to build scalable, production-ready ML solutions, taking algorithms from initial concept through to deployment
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of ML infrastructure and tooling
• Drive end-to-end solutions in collaboration with Product Managers and other engineers
• Research and develop next-generation algorithms for product search, recommendation systems, and Generative AI
• Work in a fast-paced, hands-on development environment to optimize Apple-wide systems and infrastructure

Requirements

• 3+ years of related experience building high-throughput scalable applications or machine learning models
• Proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++
• Experience building and working with distributed systems
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building data processing pipelines and large-scale machine learning platforms
• Proficiency with big data technologies such as Spark, SQL, Snowflake, or Hadoop
• Experience operationalizing distributed applications
• Experience building full-stack applications for big data analysis, feature extraction, and annotations
