Machine Learning Engineer, AI Processors

Responsibilities

• Stay current with the latest advances in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and foundation models
• Research, develop, and optimize AI algorithms for deployment on Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms
• Design and build innovative reference applications showcasing Snapdragon AI capabilities across mobile, edge, XR, and IoT devices
• Evaluate and balance hardware and software trade-offs to achieve optimal performance, power efficiency, and user experience
• Support the implementation, optimization, and commercialization of AI algorithms and applications on Snapdragon devices

Requirements

• Strong background in machine learning algorithms, computer vision, multimodal AI, or agentic AI
• Proficiency with PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Strong software development skills in Python and/or C++
• Familiarity with embedded development and operating systems concepts
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master's with 3+ years, or PhD with 2+ years)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience or publications
• Experience in NLP, audio/speech processing, or video/image processing algorithms
• Experience translating AI/ML algorithms into software applications running on edge devices
