Machine Driver

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy plant and construction machinery including excavators, bulldozers, dump trucks, and telehandlers
• Carry out excavation, trenching, grading, backfilling, and site clearance works
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections and routine safety checks on machinery
• Perform basic routine maintenance such as checking fluid levels and lubricating components
• Follow site plans, engineering drawings, and supervisor instructions
• Ensure safe loading, unloading, and transportation of materials
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Maintain accurate equipment inspection records and daily activity logs

Requirements

• Proven experience operating heavy construction plant and machinery
• Valid plant operator certification or licence relevant to the equipment
• Good understanding of safe operating procedures for construction equipment
• Experience working on construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects
• Ability to read site plans and follow technical instructions
• Strong awareness of workplace health and safety requirements
