M&A Director

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end M&A transactions for VEON Group, including acquisitions, divestitures, and mergers across complex international frontier markets
• Drive strategic analysis and identification of M&A opportunities in key verticals such as FinTech, Digital Banking, and Entertainment
• Manage all phases of selective M&A activity within operating companies, from origination through to close
• Partner with business and functional leaders to implement M&A plans aligned with the Group's digital growth strategy
• Navigate multi-jurisdictional deal management, coordinating legal, regulatory, financial, and operational workstreams
• Serve as a credible representative of the company to build relationships with equity investors and external partners

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in corporate finance, M&A, investment banking, or private equity
• Proven track record of executing complex, cross-border M&A transactions from origination to close
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence capabilities
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance or a related field from a leading university
• Deep understanding of the telecommunications and digital technology sectors
• Experience working in multi-jurisdictional, emerging market, or matrix environments
