LVN-Physician Support Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinic workflow for providers and patients to ensure accuracy and efficiency in care, orders, and tasks.
• Act as the primary liaison for assigned providers, handling staff questions, problem-solving, and patient inquiries.
• Assist clinic leadership with clinical scheduling, staffing needs, and coordinating team breaks to maintain patient flow.
• Prepare and administer medications within the scope of practice.
• Facilitate appropriate preparation, examination, and diagnostic testing to prevent delays in care.
• Manage patient scheduling, medication refills, and timely patient call-backs.
• Perform clinical tasks including obtaining patient history, removing sutures/staples, changing dressings, and assisting with procedures.
• Organize and delegate daily workloads among the team to ensure timely completion of assignments.
• Maintain clinical supply levels and ensure the team maintains survey readiness.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse Program (required if hired after March 1, 2025).
• Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• One (1) year of LVN experience in a physician practice office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and unexpected clinical situations.
