LVN

Responsibilities

• Perform basic nursing skills within the scope of professional licensure
• Assist Registered Nurses (RN) and physicians with data collection, examination, and diagnostic testing
• Ensure accurate documentation of all patient care activities and communicate assessments to the RN
• Complete patient assignments within the assigned shift and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions
• Maintain lab and diagnostic test results and report them to the RN in a timely manner
• Provide timely and appropriate discharge instructions to patients
• Perform patient callbacks regarding test results or for quality customer service
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and assist with cleaning patient rooms

Requirements

• California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse Program

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous healthcare experience
• Bilingual Spanish/English skills with the ability to translate medical terminology
