LV Switchgear Mechanical Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of employees in the mechanical assembly of low voltage switchgear components
• Oversee daily production activities and delegate assignments based on team member skills
• Inspect work performed by team members to ensure quality and accuracy
• Assist with the planning, preparation, and execution of training and orientation for new hires
• Address minor disciplinary issues and partner with supervisors to resolve departmental concerns
• Track and log worker time, materials, and resources for inventory purposes
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and perform assemblies or sub-assemblies as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 4 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a related field
• Proven experience effectively leading a team of employees
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering diagrams, and written directions
• Proficiency with basic tools such as tape measures and impact drills
• Basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements
• Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for prolonged periods and lift up to 35 pounds
