Lunch Assistant

Responsibilities

• Support pupils during the lunchtime period to create a safe, calm, and positive environment
• Assist with the serving of meals and support children as they eat
• Encourage good table manners and independence among students
• Supervise pupils in the dining hall to ensure safety and wellbeing
• Work closely with teaching staff and the lunchtime team to ensure smooth service
• Follow all hygiene and allergy procedures strictly

Requirements

• Experience working with young children
• Confident communicator able to engage positively with pupils and colleagues
• Caring and patient approach to supporting children
• Strong sense of responsibility for safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
• Reliable, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
