About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead an O&M team to comply with site contract uptime and preventive maintenance documentation
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of solar farms within a designated region
  • Provide on-site and phone support for troubleshooting and equipment repair
  • Schedule weekly work and annual preventive maintenance tasks
  • Perform site visits and safety audits on teams, tools, and equipment
  • Audit work orders in CMMS to ensure accuracy and clarity
  • Pull reports from CMMS to identify common parts failures and develop solutions
  • Coach, train, and develop technicians based on individual learning styles
  • Collaborate with vendors to set up team training

Requirements

  • 6+ years of utility solar O&M experience
  • OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E certifications
  • FAA Part 107 License
  • In-depth understanding of electrical safety and medium voltage equipment
  • Proficiency with solar testing equipment (megger, IV curve tracer, HV/LV meter)
  • Ability to troubleshoot trackers, inverters, transformers, and MET stations
  • Ability to troubleshoot and terminate communication cables (RS-485, Cat6)
  • Ability to read and interpret site engineering drawings and manuals
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • First AID/CPR certification
  • NABCEP certification
  • Fiber Optics certification
  • Equipment Manufacturer Training Certification
  • College degree or trade school certification in a related field
