LPN/RN/Skilled Nursing/Assisted Living Floor Nurse

Responsibilities

• Follow individual service plans and administer or supervise physician-prescribed treatments
• Perform rounds to residents and record visits on charts
• Administer intramuscular and sub-cutaneous injections and perform in-house testing
• Take and record vital signs and document acute episodes or changes in resident status
• Handle preparation, administration, and ordering of prescribed medications
• Chart shifts in accordance with facility policy and state guidelines
• Supervise residents with medication self-administration and assist with activities of daily living
• Provide emotional and social support to residents while respecting dignity and confidentiality
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to community policies

Requirements

• Valid LVN (LPN) or RN license
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of general nursing theory, infection control, and OSHA standards
• Familiarity with medical diagnoses, procedures, and medication side effects
• Ability to lift at least 51 lbs regularly
• Proficient in operating computer-related tasks and software applications
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
