About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical functions on the unit, incorporating the nursing process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act
- Provide direct patient care and manage patient care plans to improve quality of outcomes
- Delegate and supervise nursing care provided by Certified Nursing Assistants, Nurse Aides, and Techs
- Identify and implement components of the nursing process, including teaching patients and families
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth, organized, and efficient unit operations
- Maintain professional standards of practice and comply with regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Current, valid, and active LPN/LVN license in the state of employment
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Valid IV Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Three years of medical/surgical experience
- One year of area-specific experience in acute or long-term care
