About the role
Responsibilities
- Accurately assess, communicate, and document resident status
- Observe and report significant changes in resident behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, and family
- Direct and supervise the daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants
- Mentor and guide Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their roles
- Coordinate care needs with community providers through effective case management
- Balance service demands with the support of resident independence
- Assist in the prevention and reporting of elder abuse, neglect, or exploitation
- Respond to emergencies and personal emergency response systems
Requirements
- Current state license as an LPN and valid CPR certification
- Graduate of an approved LPN program per state requirements
- 1 to 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Previous experience working with the elderly is highly desirable
