About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care within the LPN scope of practice, including administering medications and IV/parenteral therapies.
  • Monitor patient conditions, perform assessments, and report changes to the Registered Nurse and healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient, patient-centered care and optimal patient flow.
  • Accurately document patient status, interventions, and care delivery within the EPIC electronic health record system.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding recovery and care instructions.
  • Maintain a compassionate and therapeutic environment while adhering to all safety standards and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current New Mexico Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
  • BLS certification.
  • Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) certification (required for telemetry areas).
  • Ability to obtain ACLS certification within 6 months of hire for applicable areas.
  • Completion of PDS IV training during orientation.
