About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical patient care incorporating the nursing process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act
- Ensure the assigned unit functions in a smooth, organized, and efficient manner under the direction of the Registered Nurse
- Deliver direct patient care and manage the delegation and supervision of nursing care
- Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants, Nurse Aides, and Techs as assigned
- Identify and implement components of the nursing process and teach patients and families
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Requirements
- Current, valid, and active LPN/LVN license in the state of employment
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or an approved vendor
- Valid IV Certification
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication)
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Three years of medical/surgical experience
- One year of area-specific experience
