About the role
Responsibilities
- Triage patient phone calls following established guidelines to identify health problems or concerns
- Document relevant health information, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
- Provide health education and teaching to patients to promote and maintain optimum health levels
- Administer prescribed medications according to the five rights of medication administration
- Perform physical and psychosocial assessments based on patient presentation and complaints
- Complete practice and unit-specific clinical skill competencies on an annual basis
- Perform other nursing services commensurate with LPN experience and education under supervision
Requirements
- Completion of a Licensed Practical Nursing program from an accredited School of Nursing
- Valid New Hampshire Board of Nursing license
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) or Red Cross CPR/AED certification
- Must maintain student nurse academic status to remain in the role
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and positively with multi-disciplinary staff and patients
