LPN Co-Op

Responsibilities

• Triage patient phone calls following established guidelines to identify health problems or concerns
• Document relevant health information, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
• Provide health education and teaching to patients to promote and maintain optimum health levels
• Administer prescribed medications according to the five rights of medication administration
• Perform physical and psychosocial assessments based on patient presentation and complaints
• Complete practice and unit-specific clinical skill competencies on an annual basis
• Perform other nursing services commensurate with LPN experience and education under supervision

Requirements

• Completion of a Licensed Practical Nursing program from an accredited School of Nursing
• Valid New Hampshire Board of Nursing license
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) or Red Cross CPR/AED certification
• Must maintain student nurse academic status to remain in the role
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and positively with multi-disciplinary staff and patients
