LPN

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care to residents through the proper administration of prescribed medications and treatments
• Assigns duties to nursing assistants based on residents' needs and available staff
• Observes, records, and reports any change in resident’s condition
• Notifies residents' physician as necessary to report a change in condition, medication requests, or changes and to verify physician orders
• Monitors the medication and treatment cart, nurses' station, and medication room to ensure that expired medications are properly disposed of and narcotics are counted per policy and regulations
• Transcribes written physician orders accurately to Medication Administration Record
• Completes laboratory requests as ordered by a physician

Requirements

• Current LPN licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
• General working knowledge of the aging services industry
• Proven supervisory and leadership skills
• Compassion, patience, and genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing situations in a dynamic care environment
