About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care through administration of prescribed medications and treatments
- Assign duties to nursing assistants based on resident needs and staff availability
- Observe, record, and report changes in resident conditions
- Notify physicians regarding condition changes, medication requests, or to verify orders
- Monitor medication carts, nurses' stations, and medication rooms for compliance and narcotic counts
- Transcribe physician orders accurately to Medication Administration Records
- Complete laboratory requests as ordered by physicians
Requirements
- Current LPN licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- General working knowledge of the aging services industry
- Proven supervisory and leadership skills
- Compassion and patience for senior care
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to dynamic environments
