Lower Middle Market Underwriter

Responsibilities

• Perform multiline underwriting for Package, Umbrella, Workers Compensation, Auto, and ancillary lines
• Drive new revenue generation by reviewing, triaging, and quoting submissions to achieve production goals
• Cross-sell additional lines of business including P&C, Multinational, Financial Lines, Cyber, and Accident & Health
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with assigned agents to drive profitable growth
• Collaborate with local Business Development Managers to identify growth opportunities within assigned agencies
• Manage desk activities including production planning and forecasting for an assigned book of business
• Ensure all underwriting activities adhere to established strategies, authority, and compliance standards

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of commercial lines underwriting experience
• Proven experience in Commercial Lines Property & Casualty underwriting
• Strong technical analysis and underwriting skills to drive profitable revenue
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with Package underwriting
