Lower Level Instructor, J Frank White Academy

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned lower-level courses in alignment with the mission of the J. Frank White Academy and Tennessee state standards
• Develop course syllabi, establish learning objectives, and create lesson plans
• Evaluate student performance and submit grades in a timely manner
• Assist in curriculum revision and maintain required instructional materials
• Participate in faculty meetings, university committees, and school-wide activities
• Sponsor at least one student organization and assist with school events such as parent nights, open houses, and athletic games
• Maintain compliance with accreditation requirements and institutional handbooks

Requirements

• Elementary teaching certification
• Degree in the subject area to be taught
• Completion of 12 hours of professional education courses
• Completion of 6 hours of coursework every five years
• Tennessee certification in the area of specialization or an appropriate permit/interim license
• Language teaching qualification

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in teaching Spanish (preferred)
• Experience or qualification in teaching French, German, or Latin
