Lower Elementary Teacher

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement high-quality instruction in Reading, Writing, Math, and Social Studies tailored to diverse learning styles.
• Deliver phonics instruction using principles of the science of reading.
• Teach mathematics using a Singapore math approach.
• Create a nurturing and productive learning environment through strong classroom management.
• Utilize formal and informal assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues through regular communication.
• Collaborate with support staff and grade-level teams to optimize learning environments.
• Perform assigned duties including recess, carpool, and lunch supervision.
• Attend faculty meetings and participate in professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.
• 3-5 years of teaching experience preferred.
• Experience teaching phonics using a research-based science of reading approach (UFLI experience preferred).
• Experience teaching math using the Singapore model.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage diverse groups of students.
• Commitment to inclusive and equitable instructional practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with UFLI phonics instruction.
• Proven ability to manage time and meet varied deadlines in a school setting.

• Salary range of $52,000 - $70,000, commensurate with experience.
