Low Voltage Technician

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate CAT cable and fiber optic cable
• Conduct service calls and oversee projects as needed
• Test both copper and fiber cables
• Read blueprints and apply specifications
• Operate power tools such as drills, saws, pullers, and tuggers
• Demonstrate safe work habits and comply with company safety requirements
• Teach, train, and guide electrical apprentices
• Handle various equipment and spools of wire
• Perform night, weekend, and on-call work as required

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from technical school, or one or more years of related experience
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently
• Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and work from various heights
• Ability to work in confined spaces such as manholes and crawl spaces
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office platforms
• Ability to travel out of town and stay overnight

Preferred Qualifications

• BICSI Certification
