Low Voltage Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and review technical solutions for weak current systems in new and renovated data centers
• Analyze requirements for structured cabling, security systems, network communications, and audio-visual systems
• Manage procurement and bidding processes for weak current system projects
• Interface with external consultants, design firms, and equipment suppliers
• Develop technical specifications, standards, and workflows for system designs
• Provide technical guidance during system testing, verification, and installation inspections
• Oversee on-site construction management and ensure design deliverables transition to practical application

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with Power systems emphasis
• 10 years of experience in electrical engineering or project management
• 3 to 8 years of professional design experience with medium and high voltage power systems and distribution
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and power system modelling software
• Knowledge of transformers, switches, power quality, harmonic analysis, and grounding
• Ability to travel to various locations

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer certification
• Substation design experience
