Low Voltage Power Distribution Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Function as a discipline lead engineer on medium to large-scale electrical infrastructure projects
• Oversee the production of design deliverables, including drawings and specifications
• Plan, direct, and supervise engineering work requiring significant manpower and financial investment
• Mentor junior engineers and designers to foster technical excellence and growth
• Ensure design compliance with all applicable codes and regulations, providing professional engineering seals when required
• Prepare material and equipment specifications, review supplier data, and witness shop tests
• Conduct site investigations, surveys, and technical studies
• Assist in determining budget estimates and staffing requirements for project scopes

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
• PE registration is required
• 1+ years of related electrical engineering experience on commercial and industrial multi-use buildings
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70
• Experience producing electrical distribution design calculations, including load analysis, short circuit, voltage drop, and arc flash calculations
• Strong communication skills for direct client interaction
• Ability to lead electrical engineering teams in executing complex infrastructure projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Design-build experience is a plus
