- Design and optimize high-performance, low-latency trading systems
- Collaborate closely with quantitative researchers and developers
- Take a holistic approach to system design and performance optimization
Requirements
- Low-level systems programming and optimization experience
- Experience building low-latency, high-throughput network applications
- Ability to interpret and improve performance via hardware performance counters and profiling tools
- Thorough understanding of modern computer architecture (e.g., x86 cache hierarchies)
- Experience with fast-packet processing and kernel-bypass implementations (Solarflare, DPDK, InfiniBand)
- Experience working around managed runtime performance challenges (plus)
- Familiarity with a typed functional language (plus)
