Loss Prevention Engineer

Responsibilities

• Execute design activities and prepare technical documentation to ensure project safety and reliability
• Review and check interdisciplinary technical documentation
• Monitor scope of work, raise change notifications, and liaise with PMT and other discipline engineers
• Prepare and check key deliverables including loss prevention philosophy, fire protection design basis, and hazardous area classification schedules
• Perform design basis and characterization of firefighting protection systems, including hydraulic calculations for fire water networks
• Prepare specifications for firefighting, safety, and lifesaving equipment and review vendor documentation
• Coordinate safety workshops and review third-party safety studies
• Liaise with drafting teams for drawing development

Requirements

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Safety, or related field)
• 10–15 years of experience in oil & gas projects
• Proven exposure to offshore wellhead or process platforms
• Proficiency in English
• Expertise in the preparation of fire water network P&IDs
• Strong knowledge of fire protection, hazardous area classification, passive fire protection, and fire & gas detection systems
• Familiarity with Qatar Energy, ADNOC, Shell, or Aramco standards and international regulations
